Privacy Policy
PAL is built so your home stays yours.

The short version
PAL runs on hardware you own, in your home. The PAL companion app is a
satellite that pairs to your own PAL hub. We — Kikkei Labs — do
not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data to
ourselves or to any third party. Your voice, your conversations, and what you
ask PAL to do stay between the app and your hub.
What the app handles
- Voice & text you send to PAL. When you speak or type,
the request goes to your paired PAL hub for processing and a reply. It is not
routed to Kikkei Labs. Depending on how you set up your hub, transcription and
responses are handled on your own hardware or by services you have configured.
- Pairing token. When you pair with a hub, the app stores a
token on your device so it can talk to that hub. It lives on your device and is
sent only to your hub to authenticate requests. You can unpair at any time.
- Microphone. The app uses the microphone only while you are
actively talking to PAL (press-to-talk / tap-to-talk). Audio is used to form your
request and is not retained by the app for any other purpose.
- Notifications (optional). If you enable push notifications,
your device's push token is shared with your hub so it can send you alerts (for
example, a finished timer). It is used only to deliver those notifications.
- Local network discovery. On your local network, the app may
look for a PAL hub to make pairing easier. This happens on your network and is
not reported to us.
What we do not do
- We do not operate an account system and do not ask you to create one.
- We do not run analytics or advertising SDKs inside the app.
- We do not collect your location, contacts, or identifiers for tracking.
- We do not receive copies of your conversations with PAL.
The App Store demo
For App Store review, a public demo hub is provided. If you connect the app to the
demo hub, your messages are processed by that demo server purely to show a reply and
are not associated with any account or profile. The demo holds no real home devices
and no personal data.
Children
PAL is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from
children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new
date above.
